This year’s event is at a brand new venue–The Decatur Hotel & Conference Center. 2010 will mark our 5th. annual Secretary’s Day Party sponsorship for Decatur Jewelry & Pawn. Year after year, this venue is a fantastic time for everyone involved.

WEJT, The Party and the Fox radio stations promote this venue to reward the secretaries of local businesses in Macon County and Decatur. Booth space is reserved for a few local businesses to showcase their products and services. There’s no better place than a room full of ladies to showcase our fabulous collection of jewelry and fine gems. Each year, we offer FREE jewelry cleaning and inspection for the ladies while they are enjoying the music, fun and food.

Rock Of Ages band headlines the event and will again be playing their local flare of music for the crowd.

This year’s event is being held on a Friday night, instead of the customary Wednesday night, so a good time is sure to be had by all. Of course, Decatur Jewelry & Pawn promotes responsible drinking, so we recommend that all attending either designate a sober driver for the evening or reserve a room at the hotel so you can continue to enjoy the festivities safely.

Assistant Team Leaders!

Objective: To facilitate efficiency and productivity of the stores’ systems by assisting the Team Manager in administering managerial processes in order to maximize revenue and earnings potential for both of our expanding locations.

Duties

Interview, select and train team members
Maintain store inventory
Schedule staff hours
Assist in administering and monitoring all store functions with the Team Manager
Assist in controlling the distribution of merchandise between stores and new purchases of inventory, materials and supplies
Help facilitate lateral communication between departments and team members
Communicate progress and obstacles to headquarters and/or owners

Qualifications

Excellent follow through skills are a must
Attention to detail is crucial
Good customer service skills are imperative
Leadership skills, team building and mentoring qualifications are necessary to fulfill this job

Job Requirements

Minimum of one year experience in management or related retail arena
Approximately 40 hours per week
