Decatur Jewelry & Pawn is your online  source for all your shooting needs! Our newly-expanded firearms department offers a wide selection of firearms and firearm accesories.  Our inventory includes handguns, shotguns, rifles, ammunition, rifle scopes and optics, defense accessories, such as tasers, stun guns and pepper spray.  Decatur Jewelry & Pawn also services the needs of law enforcement and military units with our wide variety of tactical weapons and accessories.

We are currently a “stocking dealer” for Glock and are enrolled in their L.E. or Law Enforcement Program, which allows active first responders considerable discounts on firearms purchased for official use.  We are currently in the final negotiating stages of becoming a stocking dealer for Sig Sauer, Ruger and Springfield Armory.  Stay tuned for more to come.  In the mean time, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact our firearm department at 1-888-877-4367 with any of your questions.

We also do on-line sales transfers for your firearm needs.  If you buy your firearm from another source and you live in the Decatur, Il. area, we can accommodate the transfer for you.

STEPS TO COMPLETE A TRANSFER:

1.  Once you are sure you have found the firearm for you, take the necessary steps to complete the transaction with your selected merchant.

2.  Complete their payment requirement with them.

3.  Determine if they have a copy of our current FFL (Federal Firearms License) on file with their company.

4. Contact us so we can begin to create a customer account for you in our system.  We will input the necessary data into our system and will notify you when your firearm arrives.    If you are already an existing Decatur Jewelry & Pawn firearm customer and your  current FOID (firearm owner Identification) is on file with us, we will notify you when your firearm arrives.

5.  If the merchant with whom you purchased your firearm does not have a current copy of our FFL, communicate this to us and we will forward them the necessary paperwork to expedite your transfer.

6.  Once your firearm arrives and is logged into our system, we will notify you to come in and fill out the ATF’’s required federal form, called a “4473.”  At this point we will do the necessary background check for you and will begin the transfer process.  Once you have passed the background check and have waited the necessary “hold period” for your firearm, you will be cleared to take possession of your new firearm.

FEES FOR TRANSFERS:

Single Firearm:       $25.00

Two Firearms:         $40.00

Three Firearms:      $50.00

HOW TO ORDER:  (purchasing a firearm from Decatur Jewelry & Pawn on-line)

We cannot ship firearms directly to you, but will be sent to your local FFL (Federal Firearms License) Dealer, who will then perform the necessary  background checks and paperwork required in your state and locality. We will not ship firearms to non-FFL holders. This is federal law. It is your responsibility to contact the FFL Dealer in your area to make sure of their policies, procedures, and any applicable fees they might charge.

Most all dealers will accept a transfer for you. They will perform all the required background checks and paperwork for your area, and charge a transfer fee, typically between $25.00 – $50.00. If we already have your dealer’s license (FFL) on file, there is no need to resend it with each order.

NOTE: As of Feb. 1, 2005 it is now legal for us to accept a faxed or scanned e-mail copy of your dealer’s signed license! This is much faster than mailing it. Our fax number is (217)875-6609. You may also e-mail scanned copies to: decaturjewelry.comcast.net

Forms of Payment

Credit Card : We accept credit card transactions over the telephone and accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. All products must include the billing address on the credit card, with the 3-digit V-code on the back of the card.  The name on the credit card has to be the same as the person ordering the product(s).

Checks or Money Order : You can place an online order, and choose personal check or money order as the payment option. We do not accept electronic check transfers (E-Check). Once your check is received and has cleared the bank, (14 days for personal check, 2 days for money orders) your product will be shipped. Send your check or money or to:

Steps Before You Buy A Pistol or Rifle

Federal firearms laws prevent the sale of a weapon from Decatur Jewelry & Pawn  directly to an individual in another state (we are located in Illinois). We must ship your firearm directly to an FFL Dealer near you. The steps to follow are:

1. Order your firearm from our on-line inventory, custom order request or in person at our Decatur, Il. location.
2. Find a dealer near you that will accept the transfer of the firearm for you. Most sporting goods stores, pawn shops, gun clubs, shooting ranges or other sporting companies will provide this service for a small fee. We can assist you in locating a participating FFL dealer in your area if you are unsure.  We are networked with  a large list of dealers in the USA that will gladly handle a transfer for you. Most dealers charge approximately $25 for a transfer. You must confirm the transfer with your local dealer in advance.
3. Next, have the dealer get us a copy of his signed license if we don’t already have it on file. To check whether a license is on file, contact us  Please Note: It is now legal for us to accept a faxed or e-mailed copy of your dealers license!
4. Make sure the dealer knows the firearm is coming from us. If you used a dealer that we already had on file, call him to let him know that your gun is on the way.
5. We will send you an email when the firearm ships, with a tracking number.
